Stephanie Marken is the Chief Methodologist of the Gallup Daily tracking survey, Gallup’s largest public release study measuring the attitudes and behaviors of over 350,000 U.S. adults per year. In this role Ms. Marken is responsible for the design and execution of the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index® and Daily Gallup Poll which collect data on the health, well-being, economic and political behaviors/attitudes among the U.S. public. She is also ultimately responsible for the design and execution of the sampling and data collection methodology, which is executed by telephone and uses a random-digit-dialing (RDD) approach.
Her expertise includes questionnaire design, optimal telephone sampling design in dual-frame studies, interviewer effects and call design features. Ms. Marken received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Elon University and her master’s degree in survey research from the University of Connecticut.
